Oppo’s latest smartphone under the Realme series, i.e. the Oppo Realme 1 has been launched exclusively on Amazon India’s platform. Since this is an Amazon exclusive product, the phone will be available for purchase only on Amazon’s official website and mobile application in India. There is a dedicated page for this smartphone which is live on the website of the famous e-commerce platform along with various pay offers by Amazon.
Realme, powered by Oppo mobiles which are China-based, will be entering the Indian market for the first time and is hence a new brand for the Indian digital market. It is predicted that this phone will prove to be a tough competition for Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 5, which is a relatively famous smartphone. This new smartphone, referred to as Oppo Realme 1, has a stylish design and will be available at an affordable price falling under the budget category.
According to the information provided on Amazon’s dedicated page for the phone, Oppo Realme 1 has a unique diamond back design. This design makes it very different in terms of looks as compared to the generic design of the rest of the smartphones of the affordable category. As per the page design, there doesn’t seem to be a fingerprint sensor on the phone, neither at the front nor at the backside of the phone. The other specifications of the phone which were mentioned along with the design details include a facial unlock feature, AI processor and also a very amazing AI-powered battery management system. The phone has 6GB RAM and an inbuilt storage capacity of 128GB. The launch of Oppo Realme 1 was streamed live on the YouTube channel of Amazon India.
It has been evident from the statistics that even though Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo are all Chinese companies, Xiaomi has been dominating the smartphone market of India. Oppo believes that the tables will turn in their favor after the launch of Realme 1 as the phone will challenge its competitor by providing an affordable alternative. This phone is likely to be priced under Rs. 15,000.
The other specifications of the phone, as informed by some other source, would be a 13MP rear camera with portrait mode and the front camera will be 8MP with portrait mode supported additionally.
The screen would have a 6-inch IPS LCD FHD+ display with a screen resolution of 2160 x 1860 pixels. The screen display would be as per the new 18:9 taller aspect ratio.
The phone would have Oppo’s Color OS 5.0 which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo. It will have some AI-driven features as has been a trend for Oppo phones.
These AI features are especially used in phones for tuning selfies. The battery of the phone is said to be 3410mAh.
The processor for Oppo Realme 1 is going to be the MediaTek MT6771 one which will have 6GB RAM onboard.
