Rakshabandhan is round the corner and so is pretty monsoon, and is one of my favourite festivals. When it’s about important occasions and festivals, I prepare everything in advance and so should you. I’ve shared a complete list of things that I prepare during Rakshabandhan and you should too:

  • Buying rakhis before market rush as you get the best stock and so many options.
  • Getting my dress and jewellery ready and not leaving anything for the last hour.
  • Deciding a gift for my brother and getting it before some days.
  • I prepare my thali in the morning itself with kum-kum, akshat, sweets and flowers so that I don’t need to find anything at the last moment.

But this time is different as me and my brother are in different towns, and I am planning to send him the rakhi online.

How I Planned My Rakshabandhan Online

Markets aren’t open properly, we’ve already started receiving alerts on various locations regarding the third wave. I was quite doubtful about the scenarios in the coming days but that cannot be a hurdle in my favourite festival, right?

I decided to do all of it via FernsNPetals. Although, this isn’t my first time ordering from them as  I often used to send cakes and flowers to my near and dear ones and knew that they delivered on-time quality products but I never ordered a rakhi online and so, I thought of giving it a shot.

Although the month hasn’t started yet, I couldn’t stop myself from ordering. I simply opened the Ferns N Petals website and saw that they launched a separate rakhi brand Sneh rakhi by Ferns N Petals.

Loved the warmth in the name and I started scrolling through their various rakhi options and gift sets including chocolates, gifts, dry fruits and sweets. You can choose anything that your brother loves, I decided to buy a nice rakhi hamper for him.

What Was in My Rakhi Hamper?

My brother is a die heart chocolate lover and for him nothing is better than a chocolate hamper. So, in my hamper I added a Cadbury Celebration box, a set of coffee mugs for my chocolate and coffee lover li’l brother with some beautiful rakhis. While scrolling, I also found some plant options so I thought to add a bamboo plant as it is considered lucky and brings good fortune so it can be a thoughtful gift too. I simply added all this in my cart and proceeded to make payment before checkout.

I got an option to “make it more special”, I simply clicked on that and got some extra options to add to my cart such as chocolates, keyrings and cards. Loved the checkout process, it’s super simple and hassle-free.

Payment & Delivery for Online Rakhi

Fast delivery is one of the crucial factors for customers and that’s why companies highlight their safe delivery features while promoting their website. Frankly, I am an impulsive customer so I can not bear very late deliveries.

I saw an interesting option while proceeding for payment which was to choose a date and time for delivery. I did my payment online for contactless transactions. The package was delivered an hour later than mentioned but it was still faster. I was super-excited to see how my brother reacted to this early-rakhi surprise and then I received the call.

My Brother’s Reaction to This Surprise

My brother simply fell in love with the rakhis, although the first thing he asked out of sarcasm was, “aren’t you celebrating rakhi too early?” All brothers are the same.

So here is a video of the goodies I ordered. They have also added a small wish card from their side with the hamper and I loved this small detail.

So, this was the bamboo plant I chose, it came with this cute vase. He loved the plant and kept it on his work desk.

Here are coffee mugs and chocolate boxes, print quality on the mugs looked good as well as color combination on it was pretty good, giving festive hues.

FernsNPetals is a one-stop destination for all my gifting needs as I thought I’ll have to place different orders on different websites but I was relieved to get everything I needed on one website and could send everything together that saved my time too.

Let me know how you are planning to celebrate your RakshaBandhan in the comments.
